Infographic : The Psychology of Color – Must See for Web Designers by Tech King As I'm thinking about my solution for my problem, I am investigating the power of color. Since my problem pertains to the awareness of religious ideas, I need to understand the colors the impact of the colors I'm using. Thankfully the Tech King has helped me out by sharing this awesome infographic. Progress Update Still working on my bibliography. At this point, I'm a bit discouraged because I haven't done much observation of the campus environment. I've been looking at what would look good from a marketing perspective, but I haven't done my "marketing" research on my demographic. One of my downfalls was simply relying on reviewed literature to come up with my solution. Though I would like to create awareness for religious ideas on-campus, simply based on the LEAD website, there are not that many religious groups. Most are on-campus Christian groups. If one were to read my research paper, they would find my findings to be geared towards Christianity. Would I be judged unfairly? Hopefully not, but it is a concern. Based on experience, SFSU CCSC has always promoted ethnic culture. That's great! But in terms of promoting campus resources regarding religious ideas, I've observed that it is mainly the on-campus organizations that promote their events. Is there a policy regarding promotional material from CCSC? If so, what are the limitations? Also, a concern for me are the outreach efforts of religious studies courses on campus. I haven't come across any material that allows students to investigate religions in a serious academic fashion. So many unanswered questions here. What religious studies courses are being offered? How in-depth do they go in regards to religious text? Are there seminars the professors do that could allow students who can't take the class to explore? What are their views on religion; all similar or all different? Are the professors open to share their religious background? What does teaching a religious studies class mean at SFSU from a professor perspective? student perspective? What are their outreach efforts? What on-campus organizations does religious studies sponsor? Based on observation, compared to Asian American Studies which is diverse in culture and history, Religious Studies does not place a large amount of their effort in outreach to the community. Why is that? Guided questions: What flyers are on the campus? Where are they placed? Posters? Banners? What is the school policy on promoting an event? What does the school promote? How do religious promotional material compare to others?I also have assumptions about student willingness to go to religious events though they may be non-religious or even of another religion. However there's no possible way I can explore that. My surveys will be done this week, so hopefully students are willing to explore despite their religious background.
